“Well, I should say she’s rather polite, and good-natured. Brave, I think, with burdens of her own. Not like mine, but none two burdens are the same. I still struggle to fathom why she considers me ‘heroic’ and ‘admirable’, but I suppose it is some small comfort. A part of me perhaps would like to be remembered.”
Ah well, Frodo’s been my favorite literary character for years. I’ve played him like..a year and a half ago? Then picked him up again here and I learn new things about him all the time as I read or watch. I enjoy his personality, his ability to endure beyond any other character, his insane level of emotional strength that upholds him long after his body gives out — and just the kindness he still has, no matter how twisted and broken the Ring makes of his mind and his spirit. He’s just a really noble, heroic character and I really relate to him a lot. Being burdened and sick with things, not being able to swing a sword doesn’t define a hero — and he’s always been that example of why to me.
