Usually it wasn’t uncommon to be mistaken for a lad. So it was with no real bitterness that Frodo offered an obliging smile, small as it was, and side-stepped her, taking note of her introduction.

“Hullo, Miss Asami. A pleasure to meet you. Frodo Baggins, is my name.” Yet for a ‘boy’ the voice that came out was clearly a man’s.

“I can’t say I have much promise in helping you, as I’m new myself, but I’d be happy to help as best I can. I know the feeling of being lost.” In more ways than one.

Asami soon realized that Frodo was not a boy, but a very short man. His voice was shockingly deep, he must have been confused as a boy a lot in this city. She smiled sweetly back, hopefully he’s not to upset over her mishap.

“I really have no idea where I’m going, so any bit of guidance helps.”

Asami chuckled softly, amused by her own mistake before offering a kind smile and she held her slip of paper out to Frodo, containing the information she needed to find her apartment. Upon closer examination the slip of paper stated Z-3 as her apartment number.

“I think almost the entire city upon arrival can agree with you,” The little man replied, keeping his features exceedingly gentle and patient. If there were any natural strengths that came to him besides an insane level of emotional tenacity, it was his ability to offer comfort to others by nature. Save unsavory hobbit relatives, perhaps.

“Now, I’ve studied over a few certain maps of this place, and I think I might have an idea of where you are to go, Miss Asami. Now, mind, I’m a bit small, quite natural where I come from, and a bit slower in that regard but I should be able to lead you safely to your..” He made a slight face. “New home, until we all shall return to the places we ought to be.” Frodo tried not to think of Mordor, he really did, but the shadows in his face still passed over like a cloud, before that sweet smile matching hers returned.

“Well then, if you’ll permit it, let’s go together, certainly no safer standing around here.”

Staring carefully at the piece of paper the Ringbearer began to walk, his green cloak tattered at the ends curling about his ankles, unfurling a bit in the breeze.
