How your character fights.
Frodo’s most obvious fight is his war between himself and the Ring, and the fight for Middle Earth that he unwittingly spearheads before the Fellowship steps in. He’s considerably much more of a willing fighter in the books. For example in the Barrow-Downs he slices the hand of one of the wights clean off with his blade. When in the Mines of Moria he stabs at one of their enemies — earning the praise of Aragorn. Usually it’s in a dangerous situation or when he’s motivated by strong emotion, anger, fear for a friend, that he lashes out and strikes. He’s far from being a ‘seasoned fighter’ but he’s willing.
