How your character kisses.
Frodo generally kisses in sign of friendship. Be it the  cheek or the forehead, it’s not often but usually done in that regard. In the end when he sails away from Middle-earth, it is only Sam whom is given a kiss from Frodo, a kiss of parting and p much familial love before he leaves him and his cousins for the Undying Lands. He’s not really a romantic hobbit, maybe in his youth for the hell of it since young hobbits do lots of dumb stuff like steal shrooms — but now he’s mellowed out and pretty much kisses out of friendship. So like, he’d just give sweet cheek kisses or forehead kisses born most likely from blessings! :)
