One thing your character admires in someone.

Frodo admires kindness, as cliche as it might be to some. If there is a trace or hint of it in someone else, he’s liable to think that there is some measure of good in it. Even if it is someone like Gollum. When he was once innocent he was too trusting to a fault that most had general goodness to them, but now that he is no longer innocent, he is aware that things of light and goodness must be found, especially in the darkest of places — and times.
